Map:
Kep, the city where the school is a small seaside town, south-eastern Cambodia, bordering the Gulf of Siam, between sea and mountains. It was destroyed by the Khmer Rouge. Recently, the city of Kep reborn and growing fast, urban and tourism with support from the government and the arrival of many foreign investors.
The quiet charm of colonial houses in ruin, the mountainous landscape and numerous islands along the coast attracting more and more tourists, mostly French.
According to a census of the Tourist Office of Kep, the city currently has thirty hotel infrastructure (guesthouses, hotels and resorts), 60% owned by French (mostly French, Belgians and Swiss). Given the rapid development of tourism in Kep, learning thus provides great opportunities for local employment, hence the need to create a French school.
The school is located in the oldest part of town, the "Old Casino". The district has 2,000 inhabitants, with 50% of the population below 25 years. Among those under 25 years, 60% are under 18 years.
